*1 This function is not available on smartphones / tablets not equipped with the location information acquiring function.

Preparation:

1. Connect the smartphone / tablet to the camera via Wi-Fi

1. Activate location information option on smartphone / tablet.

Adding location information on images in the camera

1. Tap theicon that is displayed at the bottom of the screen when starting up this application

2. Tap [Time sync] to adjust current time on the camera

3. Activate [Rec. loc. Info]

1. Max. location data storage capacity is 600,000 entries. * New entries exceeding max. amount will overwrite older data.

* Approx. recording period is 1 month at a 5-sec. [Recording interval].

1. Turn off [Rec. loc. Info] when not using it as it drains the battery quickly while active.

4. Tap [Send location data] to send such data to the camera

1. For using sent location data, see the camera's instructions.

• Setting a recording interval

1. Tap [Recording interval] to select location information recording interval. 1, 5, 15, 30, 60 sec. intervals are available.

• Displaying recording log

1. Tap [Operation log] to display location information recording logs. Max. log storage capacity is 20 entries. New entries exceeding max. amount will overwrite previous data.

• Notes:

1. After recording begins, location data will continue to be recorded according to the set [Recording interval]. During that time, If you change memory cards* while shooting with the camera, please perform [Send location data] for each memory card.

(1) Insert the memory card into the camera.

(2) Start this application.

(3) Tap [Send location data].

(4) When [Location data sent. Erase location data?] is displayed, tap [Cancel].

(5) Change the memory card in the camera.

(6) Reconnect the smartphone / tablet to the camera via Wi-Fi.

(7) After confirming connection to Wi-Fi, return to step 2.

* SD / SDHC / SDXC memory cards are referred to as memory cards here.

   If you press the Home or On/Off button of a smartphone / tablet while [Rec. loc. Info] is working, location information recording is stopped.
